OUR 4 STEP TEST & TAG PROCESS

VISUAL INSPECTION

Every appliance is carefully inspected for damaged plugs, leads, casings and any defects that could present an electrical hazard.

ELECTRICAL TESTING

Using Portable Appliance Test (PAT) equipment, we perform all required electrical safety tests in accordance with AS/NZS 3760:

TAGGING

Appliances that pass are fitted with a colour-coded compliance tag showing:
 - Test Date
 - Next Test Date
 - Technician Details
 - Test Result
Any appliance that fails testing is immediately removed from service and fitted with a Danger – Do Not Use tag. The site representative is notified straight away.

REPORTING

On completion you'll receive a comprehensive report including:
 -  Number
 - Test Results
 - Test Date
 - Next Test Due
 - Pass/Fail Status
We also retain copies of your reports and can reissue them whenever required.

Yes, Employers must ensure electrical equipment is safe. Test & Tag helps demonstrate  compliance with Work Safe requirements.

Do you test three phase equipment?

Yes. We test three phase appliances where required.

Do you test after hours?

Yes. We regularly perform testing after hours, during school holidays and outside business hours to minimise disruption.

What happens if equipment fails?

Failed equipment is tagged Danger – Do Not Use, removed from service where appropriate and recorded in your report.
